Healthy Weight Loss Diet – Two Tips to Get You Started

After trying two different weight loss programs, flushing my money down the toilet and not getting the results I wanted, I did my own research on the healthy way to lose weight. After this extensive search I concluded that there are two tips that you should do right now to help you lose weight and be healthy.

First, drink half your weight in ounces, of water daily. Often it’s even more than the traditional drink 8 glasses of water a day that we’ve been told. You have most likely heard about the health benefits of water, but will drinking plenty of water really help with weight loss? And won’t I look bloated? The truth is that most of us are severely dehydrated. By drinking water we flush our kidneys and allow them to do their job properly. This allows the liver to do it’s job properly which is converting fat into energy. When we are dehydrated, our liver has to take up the slack for the kidneys, which means that are bodies are not burning fat efficiently.

Also, when we are dehydrated, our bodies actually store (or hold on to) more water to prevent us from absolute dehydration. So by drinking more water, your body realizes that it does not need to store as much water because it’s getting hydrated regularly. So drinking water should be a part of ANY healthy weight loss program. Again, if you’re 200 pounds, you should be drinking 100 ounces of water daily. Here’s a simple tip I’ve done to help me reach that daily number. In the morning I get up and fill two pitchers with the amount of water I’m supposed to drink daily. Then I just take a regular glass and keep filling my glass with water throughout the day. I always know if I’ve been drinking enough water that way!

Second, eliminate sugar from your diet. Sugar is actually keeping us fat. Sugar increases the production of insulin. The insulin surge tells our body to start storing fat. And then it becomes like a Yo-yo. When our insulin drops we feel tired and more hungry, so we eat more and often make unhealthy choices to satisfy our cravings. I know several people that quit drinking Coke shark tank keto drink and lost 5 pounds. And while, it’s important to eliminate processed sugar from your diet, any healthy diet plan would also tell you to eliminate artificial sweeteners as well. They are bad for the body. You only have to Google the artificial sweeteners to find studies about the ill effects of them.

The three natural sweeteners I use are: Agave Nectar, Stevia and Xylitol. They are all natural sweeteners and they are low on the glycemic index. Plus they don’t leave a funky after taste like some of the artificial sweeteners. And Xylitol is even good for your teeth! How many sweeteners can you say that about?
